watching the world move around me

i noticed you changing around me
and i wonder why you would not stop to slow down
me, im still stuck in these flowers
they've been stuck to my nose since i fell on the ground

we run with the weather and seasons
but it's starting to feel like im holding their roots
their living is giving me reason
for the grass in my hair and the soil on my boots

but i cant get up
cuz i love the smell

of the daises, and the roses, and the tulips and petunias
the days are flying by and the months are flying too, yeah
i think i need some water, ive been sitting here since june

the children all run to my flowers
but i dont let them pick you cuz i know you will die
i was supposed to just stay a few hours
but my flowers are strong since the spring rains have dried

and i cant get up
